Sixth Grader Wins National Double Dutch Competition at the Apollo Theater!

Sixth grader Amatullah Muhammad and her Jersey City Honey Bees double dutch team won the National Double Dutch League’s Holiday Classic held at the Apollo Theater in New York on December 2nd. Check out the article from www.nj.com below:

The boys varsity basketball team fell to Eastern Christian High School 59-47. Keshon Phillips led the way with 11 points on the night. The boys are back in action on Friday at Hasbrouck Heights at 7:00pm. Come out and support the team!

The following Jersey City students have been awarded up to $40,000 in scholarships to Fairleigh Dickinson University. The M.E.T.S. graduates are Nourhan Fathy, Ahmed Amasha, Raichel Cochancela, Erik Ramirez, Davion Massey, Atrell Johnson, Mariah Laboy, Yusuf Harris, Amechelle Leander and Ashley Rosa.

The STEAM Tank Challenge, created and sponsored by NJSBA and the U.S. Army, encourages students in the areas of STEAM – science, technology, engineering, the arts and math.The following students are recognized for their innovative I-STEAM program entry in the STEAM TANK competition. The M.E.T.S. (Jersey City) students are Aisha Bhamla, Joshua Cordon and Muhammad Saad.
