Final Girls Basketball Scrimmage Results
The M.E.T.S. Charter School girls basketball team wrapped up their preseason schedule with scrimmages against Central High School, Ferris High School, Linden High School, and Payne Tech. M.E.T.S. took a hard fought loss against Central 37-33. Briana Lee lead the way with 23 points, 16 rebounds, 6 steals, and 3 blocks. Oreoluwa Awojobi added 5 points, and Lidia Santos 4 points. Girls Basketball Beats Becton Regional High School
The girls basketball team defeated Becton Regional 40-26 in a scrimmage on Wednesday night. Brianna Lee lead the team with 29 points, 12 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 blocks. Gianna Mercado also contributed with 6 points, 4 rebounds, and 8 steals. The girls are back in action on Friday, December 7th at Central High School at 4:00pm.
Girls Basketball Scrimmage
On Monday, December 3rd, the girls basketball team participated in a scrimmage at Irvington High School. After a valiant effort, the team lost 30-40. Briana Lee lead the team with 24 point, 11 rebounds, and 2 assists. The girls will be back into action in a scrimmage at Becton Regional High School at 4:30pm on Wednesday, December 6th.

Middle School Basketball Completes the Season
The middle school girls and boys basketball teams completed their season this week. In the inaugural season both teams saw a lot of improvement with the boys pulling off a victory over North Star Academy West Side Park in the last game of the season. CDC Panasonic Final Competition – April 16, 2019
Congratulations to Aisha Bhamla, Andrew Heinzmann and Q’uara Phillips on making it to the CDC Panasonic final competition. This year challenge is to design, build and test a robotic device that will perform a heart transplant. On January 30, 2019 the team attended the preliminary challenge where they tested, refined and documented their robotics device performance. Coming soon are the oral presentations on March 13, 2019 and the final challenge on April 16, 2019. Good luck to these students!
